About

Aysegul Tan Saygili, born on the 20th of March 1981 in Yalova, Turkey.  Residing in Nassau County, Long Island, New York.  United States has been my home since the age of 8.

I’ve always had a passion and unimaginable interest in food beginning at a very young age.  Cooking, baking and crafting have always come naturally.  My mom still tries to kick me out of the kitchen.

I, live and work in an environment where I am exposed to a variety of international foods. A S 2.28.08 Having our own family business that specializes in Middle Eastern & Mediterranean Foods, makes it accessible to find, taste and cook with a wide variety of international foods and flavors.  Another real and first hand exposure to food, especially gourmet food came when I worked with Amish Markets & Garden of Eden, both located locally in the tri-state areas.

Haven grown up in the number one city in the world, New York City, it is an additional benefit to finding variety of ethical foods and flavors.  Aside from cooking, I hold a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Pace University & Long Island University.  Surrounded by numbers, measuring and counting!

Over the years I’ve enriched my food palate and enhanced my cooking skills and integrated other cultural foods into my way of cooking.  With New York’s Delight I hope to share my personal recipes, ideas and adventures.

Comments, feedbacks, ideas and recipes are welcomed.
